I have always found the "Internet" interesting. The emerging generation need ICT "skills" - so whilst I'm primarily a Teacher of Math's, I try to use ICT wherever possible in lessons - an interesting example (not mine) here.

Why I Design Websites

I enjoy designing, and improving websites. For instance, this is my third design of this site. (However, the last two were scarcely more than one-page wonders.)

One of my hobbies, sad I know, is spending some time on W3Schools, working through the truly enormous range of self-help classes/tutorials. I have done most of HTML, and bits of XHTML, CSS, Java and Flash; and keep trying to learn more as and when I can...

Whilst I paint myself as an "improving amateur", I do have a skill/quality (sorry to boast) that I feel is very important in this field, and that is "attention to detail". It's true that in web-design, "The Devil is in the details" - for instance, I'm quickly learning how powerful DWT and CSS files are, whilst "tweaking" this site.

• carefully design/produce a site;
• help review an existing site; or
• proof-read existing or proposed sales-copy (SO important),
